Shaping the Future of Mobility Together
Approximately 120 participants gathered on October 1, 2026, at the Spreespeicher in Berlin for the DZM Networking Conference 2026. Organized by TÜV Rheinland Research and Innovation Management on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Transport, the event served as a central platform for professional exchange among the locations and stakeholders of the German Center for Future Mobility (DZM).
The focus was on current research and development activities as well as cross-site collaboration within the DZM. Expert presentations, a thematic marketplace featuring exhibits and posters, and numerous discussion formats facilitated in-depth discussions and provided direct insight into ongoing projects.
A highlight of the program was the opening remarks by Dr. Claudia Elif Stutz, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport. Afterward, she took the opportunity to visit the thematic marketplace and engage in conversation with project participants.
In addition, the new DZM location in Munich was introduced, along with its future areas of focus. At the same time, the existing locations presented their results and achievements from the past three years. This clearly demonstrated the added value that cross-location collaboration has already created and the potential for new joint initiatives.
In the afternoon, workshops on sensor fusion, human-technology interaction, safety and security, smart infrastructure, and sustainable mobility solutions provided opportunities for in-depth technical discussion and the exchange of ideas on future research approaches.
The DZM’s Karlsruhe location was also represented and showcased the C2CBridge vehicle. The exhibit generated a great deal of interest and provided numerous opportunities for dialogue with experts from academia, industry, and government.
The networking conference once again underscored the importance of in-person meetings for collaboration within the DZM. The intensive exchange of ideas, new contacts, and joint project ideas—along with the event’s inspiring atmosphere—made the conference a successful forum for the further development of innovative mobility solutions.

Dr. Claudia Elif Stutz, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transportation, visited the C2CBridge vehicle with Matthias Steinbach along the Spree River in Berlin under perfect weather conditions.
