On June 19, 2026, the C2CBridge project was showcased at the “Colorful Night of Digitalization” event hosted by the FZI Research Center for Information Technology in Karlsruhe.

Together with the Institute for Vehicle Systems Engineering (FAST) and the Institute of Lighting Technology (LTI), visitors were able to experience innovative approaches to the mobility of tomorrow up close.

The C2CBridge test vehicle was on display in the venue’s courtyard, offering exciting insights into the project’s technologies and goals.

A particular highlight was the C2CBridge Hub Demonstrator, developed by the Institute of Lighting Technology. It illustrated how intelligent, demand-responsive lighting can work through the use of modern sensor technology and AI. Using camera-based object recognition, people are detected in real time, allowing the lighting to automatically adapt to the situation: When a presence is detected, the light intensity increases, while in the absence of people, the lighting dims and switches to a warmer color temperature.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to engage with interested visitors and to present C2CBridge’s diverse research activities to a broad public.
